            ROOFING 101

Start With an Inspection

Our first piece of “Roofing 101” advice? Start with a roofing inspection. Ideally, this will be done before you even close on your property. However, you can get an inspection at any time. A roofing inspection will check for signs of damage and recommend possible repairs.

Regular Maintenance is Key

Regular maintenance will keep your roof strong and safe. Maintenance can even extend the life of your roof! During a maintenance check, a roofing expert will check your shingles, gutters, and other roof features for debris and signs of damage. Gold Pacific Roofing can clean your roof and make minor repairs quickly, saving you the cost of major repair work in the future.

Check Your Roof After Storms

While your roof is strong, it is not indestructible. Weather events cause many of the roofing issues that Hawaii's homeowners face. After a storm, check your roof for visible signs of damage, including broken shingles and gutters.

Other Signs of a Roofing Issue

Check inside of your house for signs of roofing damage, leaks, water drips, and water stains on your ceiling are all red flags. Discoloration or a bubbling look in your paint are also signs of roof damage. If you notice any of these issues, then call us immediately.

All Roofs Need Proper Ventilation

Not only is this a requirement per Hawaii's building code, it is also very vital for your roofs health and longevity.
